Good Morning Arkansas: OOTD & Product Reviews

I had the amazing opportunity to appear on Good Morning Arkansas last Friday morning to review a few summer hair care product essentials.  I’ll be the first to tell you that I am not a public speaker and that I’m so much more comfortable behind a still frame camera than a video camera (hence why I don’t do Youtube).  I was incredibly nervous, but I’m so thankful to KATV for reaching out to me to host the segment.  Now that it’s under my belt, I can breathe a huge sigh of relief!  In this post, see the outfit I wore and the products I reviewed!

The Outfit

Dress: TJ Maxx (similar) | Shoes: Guess | Belt: Altar’d State | Bag: Kate Spade (similar) | Earrings: Kendra Scott

My main goal in choosing this outfit was to find a conservative dress in a color that would appear well on camera.  I picked up this coral fit and flare dress at TJ Maxx a couple of months ago and never wore it.  The high neck and arm holes ensured that I wouldn’t be revealing anything I didn’t want to be seen on television!  I dressed up the otherwise plain dress with a beaded belt from Altar’d State, one of my favorite new stores.  A pair of beige pumps gave me a couple of much needed extra inches with a Kate Spade shoulder bag to match.

The Products

The segment focused on hair products that provide extra TLC for your hair during the intense summer months.  All of these products provide protection and care for your hair after long days on the beach, hiking, shopping, or playing sports in the heat and humidity.  See what they are and what they do below!

Good Morning Arkansas: OOTD & Product Reviews

  1. Marc Anthony Dream Waves Spray: This spray provides the texture you need to create those effortless, enviable beach waves you’ve always wanted.  A bonus for this product are the added UV protectors that protect your hair from sun and heat damage during the summer.  Apply on damp or dry hair and scrunch to amplify the texture and waves.  Available at CVS and Walgreens.
  2. Design Essentials Coconut & Monoi Deep Moisture Milk Soufflé: I honestly had no idea what a “soufflé” for your hair was until I used this product by Design Essentials. The soufflé revives your hair by restoring its moisture and shine with milk protein and shea butter.  Apply to wet, damp, or dry hair, and remember that a little goes a long way!  Available at DesignEssentials.com and CVS.
  3. Design Essentials Coconut & Monoi Intense Shine Oil Mist: The Intense Shine Oil Mist provides truly intense moisture and shine for your brittle and thirsty hair.   Apply to damp or dry hair to create the healthy shine you want!  Available at DesignEssentials.com and CVS.
  4. The Wet Brush: And now to my favorite product, the Wet Brush.  To be honest, I rolled my eyes when I first read about this brush.  I thought there’s no way this brush could be any better than the one I picked up a Walmart a few months ago.  Wrong!  The Wet Brush original is made with Mongolian boar hair and Intelliflex bristles with Soft Tips that glide through your hair with ease.  Knots and tangles?  No problem.  The Wet Brush easily and painlessly untangles anything your hair can throw at it.  I swear it’s magic.  You just have to try it to believe it!  Available at TheWetBrush.com.

A big thank you to KATV for this opportunity! And an even bigger thank you to my readers and followers.  I wouldn’t have been able to do this without all of you!

Even though I was sent the products to review on the show by the brands, all opinions are my own.
