There’s nothing like a flouncy, floral Free People dress to brighten your weekend plans. Bohemian fashion will always have a special place in my heart so an outfit like this is special to me. See how I styled the dress below shot by the talented local photographer Saira Khan!
The dress features a deep v neckline and cinched waist accented by a loose belt.
The Boho Betty cowhide cuff is one of my favorite bracelet stacks ever. The muted naturals accent the coral of the dress.
I bought this bag during the height of the mini bag trend from TJ Maxx. The neutral color and the removable shoulder strap make it a versatile piece, while the smooth, two-toned leather gives it a luxurious feel.
Floppy felt hats are a must for the fall this year. Pick up this rancher style hat from Target for under $30!
Isn’t this a gorgeous shot?! Saira has an eye for texture and light and discovered this small alley with a wall of bamboo. Don’t let the picturesque lighting fool you, though! While getting these shots, I got 24 mosquito bites. They were everywhere! Do it for the blog.
Dress: Free People (similar here & here) | Shoes: Gianni Bini (similar) | Hat: Target | Bag: Giorgio Milani (similar) | Necklace: Charming Charlie | Earrings: Windsor (similar) | Ring: Carolyn Hearn Designs (on sale!) | Bracelet: Boho Betty
I think it’s the light coral color of this dress that first drew me in. The bell sleeves, delicate floral print, and flouncy skirt only made it even more perfect. When styling it, I highlighted its bohemian vibe by adding tasseled heeled sandals and a rancher hat. The jewelry I chose also reflects boho style. The bracelet stack by Boho Betty (use code CHICLITTLEHONEY for 20% off your entire order!) adds texture and layers to my arm, while the pendent necklace anchors the neckline at a centered point.
The gorgeous photography featured in this post (and an upcoming post on Friday) was shot by Arkansas photographer Saira Khan. I’ve known Saira for only a few months now, but she’s one of the sweetest people I’ve met.
I’ve never worked with a professional photographer before this shoot so I had no idea what to expect! I loved that Saira is very hands-on. She physically moved my arms, chin, hair, and hands so she could get just the right angle for the shot. She even roped my boyfriend into working with the light reflector! I’m still thanking her for that.
When searching for locations for the photo shoots, she found beauty in places I wouldn’t have thought to look. Can you believe all of the photos in this post were taken in an alley behind a coffee shop in the Heights of Little Rock?
Saira has the trained eye to find texture, lighting, and color that will bring out the best in the photos she takes. And can we talk about the editing? I’m in love with the way she highlighted the warm tones to coordinate with the coral of the dress.
I loved working with her and I can’t wait to do it again. You can get in touch with Saira via her contact information below, and check out her Instagram to see other examples of her incredible work! PS, she loves working with dogs!
