One of the main reasons I look forward to winter and the holiday season is having the excuse to drink hot chocolate out of cute snowman mugs any time I want.  Yes, I can do that any season of the year, but it takes on a special, cozy feeling during the colder months.

How to Make Hazelnut Hot Chocolate

I know this is totally outside of Chic Little Honey’s fashion comfort zone, but I wanted to share with y’all my super easy signature hazelnut hot chocolate recipe (if you can call it that!).  It’s indulgent, divine, and perfect for cuddling up on a cold winter evening.

Ingredients

Cocoa powder

2 cups of Milk

2 tablespoons of hazelnut syrup

Marshmallows (optional)

Chocolate powder (optional)

Whipped cream (optional)

Chocolate pot & frother (Mine is older from Williams-Sonoma)

Cute mug (Mine is older from Hallmark)

Measuring cup & spoon

How to Make Hazelnut Hot Chocolate

Instructions

  1. Measure 2 cups of milk in the measuring cup and heat in microwave until hot (I like mine super hot!)

  2. Pour milk and measure 2 tablespoons of chocolate powder into the pot

  1. Pour hot chocolate into mug and add a dash or two of hazelnut syrup (I usually add 1.5 tablespoons)

  1. Top of marshmallows, whipped cream, and chocolate powder
