Holiday Parties with Basic Invite

I can’t believe the holiday season is right around the corner! With Halloween tomorrow, I can already smell the turkey of Thanksgiving and hear the sleigh bells of Christmas!

Now that Colton and I are engaged, we’ve been discussing how we’ll spend the holidays this year… and next year and every year after that. Of course we’ll share time with both of our families, but we want to start creating our own holiday traditions. We’ve already established seeing The Nutcracker ballet as one of our personal traditions, but what would the holiday season be without our friends? Our next tradition seems obvious: a holiday party!

As if by Christmas magic, Basic Invite contacted me a few weeks ago to review their holiday party invitation selection. Basic Invite is an online store filled with hundreds of card designs for every occasion I can think of.

After just a few minutes of browsing their site, I realized Basic Invite is anything but basic.

I can customize anything I want on both the cards and the envelopes. The card background and text colors, font style and size, photo placement, and even the logo colors are completely customizable. And y’all have to see the cards with foil detailing! insert heart eyes emoji

I can choose from 180 colors to make the card fit any theme or occasion I want. The envelopes are also completely customizable. I can choose from 40 color options and I can even add a photo to the inside of the envelope! All of the envelopes feature peel and stick closure so no more licking dozens of pieces of paper. Score!

One of the services Basic Invite offers that stood out to me is their Address Capturing Service. I simply share a link to my social media (Facebook, instagram, Twitter, etc.) to request my friends and family’s addresses. Basic Invite will store the addresses to my account so I can select addresses to be printed on envelopes for the cards or invitations I choose.

I looked through several pages of holiday party designs that ranged from simple to elegant to adorable, before I settled on the Gallery Holiday Party Invitation. I played around with the colors of the font and background (both front and back!) then requested a printed sample of cards to be sent directly to me for review before placing my full order. It was only a matter of days before the samples arrived in my mailbox!

The invitation is made of thick, durable cardstock with a lovely matte finish. I chose a crisp white for the background of the card and a classic Christmas green for the back.

The mistletoe graphic seemed like the perfect personal touch to the card. Colton and I kissed under the mistletoe during our second Christmas together. And we have pictures to prove it!

Overall, I’m highly impressed with Basic Invite. The quality of the cards I received are impeccable and I’ve never seen so many ways to customize a card online!Order your holiday cards from Basic Invite this season and use the code HOLI30 to receive 30% off your order!
