It finally feels like fall in Arkansas! October felt like the calm before the storm of the holidays. From daring accessories to a relaxing weekend getaway, here are my favorites from the month of October in fashion, beauty, food, books, and memories! Happy fall, y’all!
Fashion
For years I’ve dreams of owning the signature scarf McQueen is known for. I bought the classic silk chiffon scarf in black and white so that it would go with almost everything in my closet. I mean, if I’m dropping that much on a scarf, I want it to be as versatile as possible.
The Jord Wood Watch is something I’ve had my eye on for quite a while. I gave my boyfriend one for his birthday last year and we both fell in love with the craftsmanship and beauty of the watch. So you can imagine my excitement when I was given the opportunity to choose a watch of my own to review for CLH! I chose the Cora style and I’m wear it every chance I get. It’s the perfect fall accessory to pair with my riding boots and blanket scarves. See my original review of the watch and company here.
Beauty
The Mia 2 system from Clarisonic has completely changed my beauty game. Within just one week of using the Mia 2 device on my facial skin, I noticed my acne clearing up and my skin becoming softer and brighter. It’s honestly like a mini massage for your face. You gotta try it! Use the code HERCAMPUS for 15% off your Clarisonic purchase through November 20, 2016! See my full review of the Mia 2 here.
Book
This book set paints an inspiring portrait of Coco Chanel and her fashion empire in the three counterparts: fashion, jewelry, and perfume. Each volume contains an abbreviated biography of each fashion genre Chanel dedicated her life to designing and perfecting along with pages upon pages of beautiful artwork and photographs. I picked up this set at Half Price Books in Dallas and I wasn’t able to put it down until I admired every page.
Food
I must say that Bisous Bisous is the closest I’m going to get to eating macarons at a French cafe until I actually go to Paris on my honeymoon. This French gem hidden in the middle of Dallas offers mouthwatering macarons and pastries that simply took my breath away. After my blowout at Blo Bar and before my shopping spree at Highland Park Village, Colton and I stopped for a latte and a few delicious macarons outside the cafe.
Memory
Dallas Weekend Getaway

Colton and I escaped life for a weekend of shopping and relaxation in Dallas, Texas. If any of you live or have visited central Arkansas, you’ll understand the struggle of finding a good shopping spot around here. That’s why Dallas is such a haven for a fashionista like me. There’s Highland Park Village, Northpark, Galleria, the flagship Neiman Marcus…you name it, Dallas has it. We had such a fun time being together, shopping, eating, relaxing, and shopping some more. I hope to do it again soon!
I loved looking through all of these photos! It looks like an amazing time..I want to go!
