As a fashion blogger and self-proclaimed fashionista, I’m always looking for unique accessories to stand out from the rest. When I think unique, I don’t just think bold and edgy. I want the clothes and accessories I buy to be timeless and well-made enough so that they last me a few years at the very least. Jord creates unique and beautiful wood watches for men and women in a wide variety of styles and wood materials. I found Jord almost a year ago through a fellow blogger as I was searching for the perfect birthday gift for my boyfriend. I ended up giving him the Dover watch in ebony and copper and he loves it.

The watch I chose is the Cora in zebrawood and turquoise. I love the contrast of the bright turquoise watch face against the warm brown of the zebrawood. The watch is pretty lightweight and it’s easy to put on and take off. It’s beautiful and I’m obsessed with it!

Unlike my dad, I never used to be a watch person. He would try to get me to wear one but I would always forget to wear it. But as my style has changed, I’ve realized just how timeless watches are (no pun intended). Timepieces are an essential part of classic elegant style. I don’t think I’ve ever caught my dad without his watch on his wrist. Even my boyfriend says he feels “naked” without his Jord Dover. And now I feel the same without my Jord Cora.
