Game of Thrones Mother of Dragons Tee

Winter is almost here and I honestly couldn’t be more excited!  Game of Thrones has gifted us with almost a decade of incredible, edge-of-your-seat entertainment and while I don’t want it to end, I’m counting down the hours until we finally get to know who will reign over the Seven Kingdoms.  I wanted to honor my Thrones fandom and one of my favorite characters with a Khaleesi inspired outfit.

Scroll down to see how I styled this Mother of Dragons tee and short GoT Q&A!

T-shirt: The Pop Style | Pant: White House Black Market | Blazer: Takara | Shoes: Jimmy Choo

I found this Mother of Dragons t-shirt from The Pop Style in the back of my closet while switching out my winter sweaters for summer dresses.  I had totally forgotten that I had it so I literally squealed for joy!  The Pop Style has some of the cutest tees and sweatshirts so y’all definitely need to check them out!  The Mother of Dragons tee is so soft and fits me perfectly.

I decided to kick this tee up a notch by styling it with coordinating black slacks and a blazer.  The White House Black Market slacks are a recent purchase and they’re already my new workwear favorites.  The slim, high-waisted fit is flattering and easy to wear for a long day at the office.  I finished the look off with my Jimmy Choo suede pumps and a Khaleesi-inspired braid.  Or as much of a braid as my new short hair would allow!  Btw, I know Jimmy Choo is expensive, but these black suede Steve Madden pumps are under $90!

I found a Game of Thrones tag on Youtube and thought it would be fun to add it to the end of this post in honor of the final season! Warning: spoilers ahead!

How did you discover the series?

A guy I dated in college lent me his DVD collection of seasons 1-3. I was enthralled from episode one. I didn’t know anything about the show and I didn’t know any spoilers so the episode with the Red Wedding had me screaming at the tv.

Who is your favorite character?

From the beginning my answer has been Tyrion.  Always Tyrion.  However, Sandor Clegane aka The Hound has snuck his way into my heart in the more recent seasons.

Who is your least favorite character?

This answer is so easy. Ramsay Bolton was pure evil. He was even worse than Joffrey, in my opinion.

Who do you think deserves to sit on the Iron Throne?

This so tough. Either Jon Snow or Daenerys Targaryen. Both have good hearts and want what’s best for the Seven Kingdoms.  Jon seems more sure of himself and his decisions, and Daenerys isn’t afraid to rule with a iron fist. But who’s to say there will even be an Iron Throne after the final season? (Also, man bun Jon Snow is my favorite Jon Snow.)

What is your favorite episode?

Season 6, episode 10 “Winds of Winter”.  This episode was so perfect. The opening was completely different from any in the series and I felt it was just preparing us for what was about to go down. The soft music, the progressive tension around the Great Sept of Baelor, the vengeful scene of Arya killing Lord Frey (only after making him eat his own sons in a pie)… everything was written and executed beautifully.  From Cersei sipping wine as the Baelor burned with wildfire, to King Tommen’s quiet suicide, to Davos’ confrontation with Melisandre, to discovering Jon Snow’s true parentage, and even to Cersei’s somber coronation, this episode had me on the edge of my seat the entire time.  (“Light of the Seven” from the season 6 soundtrack is on repeat.)

As a bonus, “Blackwater” (season 2, episode 9) is my second favorite episode.

Another bonus, I will never, I repeat never, watch “The Door” (season 6, episode 5) again.  I was a puddle of tears at the end of that one. “Hold the door.”

What are you hoping to see in the final season?

As much as I love happy endings, I have to believe what Ramsay Bolton said: “If you think this has a happy ending, you haven’t been paying attention.”  I think we’ll see lots of carnage and the deaths of most, if not all, of our beloved characters.

What is your favorite quote from the series?

“You know nothing, Jon Snow.”  Also, “The night is dark and full of terrors.”

House Stark or House Lannister?

Easy. Lannister.

Dragon or direwolf?

My husband and I kept saying how we wanted a direwolf while we were watching the series!
