Paperbag pants took 2018 by storm, but I honestly wasn’t sure how I would like the new trend on me.  I loved how Katy of Mumu and
Macaroons
styled her striped paperbag pants, so I finally worked up the courage to try them for myself.  I found these high-waist, palazzo
paperbag pants by SheIn and instantly fell in love with them in yellow.  SheIn also offers the pants in red, light purple, and spring green.  For reference, I ordered an XS and they fit perfectly in the waist and hips.

These pants are soft, lightweight, and comfortable to wear, making them perfect for spring! The cinched high waist features a wide ribbon belt that I like to tie into a bow at my hip.  Overall, I love how they feel and look when I wear them. They’re fun and add a little
quirky kick to my outfits!

The main key to always creating a killer outfit around paperbag pants is to pair them with a form fitting or slim fitting top. A slim sweater, crop top, or bodysuit will offset the flowing silhouette of the pants to create a tailored look.  If you feel like being a little more adventurous with your paperbag pants, pair them with an oversized sweater, loose boyfriend button down, or frilly top.

For this outfit, I paired my paperbag pants with a lilac, scallop neckline camisole from Topshop. I love how the light shade of lilac complements the bright yellow of the pants.  This exact camisole is no longer available, but this one from Nordstrom Rack is almost identical.  And it’s only $20!

I accessorized lightly with my favorite set of stacked rings by Gorjana and layered necklaces from Kendra Scott and Juicy Couture.
