Let me first say that Taylor Swift’s reputation concert was incredible! I’m honestly still on cloud nine thinking about how amazing it was. I’ve been a Swifty since the day she came out with her first album and I’ll never stop loving her music, her style, her perseverance, and her love for cats. Scroll down to see my outfit and a few photos and videos from the concert!
Anyone who is familiar with Taylor’s concerts knows that her fans go all out for their concert outfits. We’re talking elaborate costumes, glitter, homemade t-shirts, the works. I had a vision in my head that would somehow incorporate sequins, boots, and a distressed jean jacket. It all came together the day before the concert and I’m still obsessed with how it turned out!
Let’s start with the base. I wore an faux-wrap romper from Wet Seal I’ve had in my closet for years. The faux-wrap front gave me an eye-catching, asymmetrical base to work with. I then layered a silver sequin crop top over the top of the romper to give the outfit its ultra glam factor. Just so y’all know, I didn’t use the bathroom for 6 hours because of the complicated layering system! Totally worth it, though.
I knew I wanted to wear heels with the outfit, I but also knew I didn’t want the pain of wearing heels during a concert where I’d be standing and dancing. These black suede over-the-knee boots are a fall/winter wardrobe staple for me. They are comfortable and honestly make me feel sexy!
And finally the piece de la resistance of the outfit, if you will, a DIY’d distressed denim jacket. As I mentioned above, fans go all out for Taylor’s concerts. We decided to go last minute so I didn’t have much time to dedicate to creating a super creative or punny outfit based on her song lyrics, so I went with two things every Swifty knows about Taylor: her lucky number is 13 and her signature red lips. I bought iron-on sequin red lips and numbers from Hobby Lobby and went to work creating this jacket. I then, of course, donned my own red lip and voila! The outfit was complete.

Colton and I attended the second to last concert on her United States leg of the tour at AT&T Stadium in Dallas. Buying the tickets was an impulsive, last minute decision, but it was easily one of the best decisions I’ve made all year! This concert had everything, including trapeze artists scaling moving video screens, surprise special guest Marin Morris, at least five costume changes (all with Louboutin shoes), giant inflatable snakes, pyrotechnics, two B stages, and confetti galore. The whole concert was a beautiful, visual spectacle of glam and Taylor’s pure star power. Every second of the concert was an adventure!
Honestly, the entire concert was an incredible experience, but I was really looking forward to when Taylor sang my favorite song from reputation: “Delicate”. I blast it in my car every day during my commute to work! A lighted bucket transported Taylor in the air from the main stage to the first of two B stages while she sang “Delicate” to her adoring fans below. Our seats were right in front of the B stage so we had an amazing view of her!
