It’s the most wonderful time of the year!  With Christmas right around the corner, holiday parties are going to be filling your social agenda.  Whether it’s a party thrown by a coworker, a distant relative, your significant other’s mom, or even one you’re throwing yourself, this season’s one rule is go all out.  This is the one time of the year you can wear sequins and sparkle and get away with it so werk it girls!

For this outfit, the main focus is on the skirt.  This DIY’d skirt is a closet favorite for me.  It can jazz up anything, from a plain-Jane sweater to a graphic tee.  The embellishment on the sweater is in the same dark, muted color family, giving the skirt a heightened accent rather than a clash of colors.  Simple pumps and minimal accessories give the outfit a finished touch ready for any holiday cocktail party thrown my way!
