Trench Coat

Happy August, y’all!  Even though summer is still full blast down here in Arkansas, I’m looking forward to fall and its fashion.  It’s never too early to start shopping for the lush sweaters, soft scarves, and sleek riding boots.  For fall 2016, a trench coat will be invaluable against rain showers and chilly wind.  See the trenches I’m in love with below!

The trench coat is a classic wardrobe staple for every season.  The trench is especially perfect for the fall when the mornings are chilly but the afternoons are warmer.  It can be layered with jeans, slacks, skirts and tops, or dresses to keep you toasty in cool fall breeze.  This particular trench can be found at J.Crew Factory.  The factory warehouse version of J.Crew is the go-to place for preps on a budget.  While some J.Crew Factory pieces can be filed under the “you get what you pay for” category in terms of quality, you can find exceptions like this camel trench coat.  The cut is slim and true to size and the fabric is water-proof, a must in trench coats.

Purchasing a trench coast at a smaller price point can help you decide how well the piece works with your current wardrobe and style.  If you love it so much that you want another, you’ll know you won’t be throwing money away on a more expensive version of the coat.  Below are a few of my favorite trenches at varying price points.  I’m currently working my way up the ladder to the enviable Burberry!
