Welcome summer!  Kinda. Not really. You’re too hot. Go away.  I need fall already!

When the summer heat gets to be too much (which is almost immediately if you live in the humid South), a breezy silk top by Lilly Pulitzer always seems to cool me down.  The Elsa top has been one of Lilly’s staples for years.  It comes in almost every dizzyingly bright Lilly print, as well as more subtle solid colors.  The v-neckline features a few of the signature Lilly gold buttons for a hint of glam.  The shift-like cut of the body is flattering with shorts, pants, and jeans.

Today, I paired light blue shorts with the top to match the blue of the seashells in the print.  The effect is subtly Palm Beach prep and I’m in love.  A pair of printed white d’orsay flats finish off summer-ready look.
