Hair Routine Essentials feat. Irresistible Me

Ok, ladies.  Let’s talk hair routine.  On a normal day, you’ll find me sitting behind my desk in jeans, flats, cozy cardigan, and straightened hair.  Straight hair is the easiest hair style for me to do accomplish in the morning before running out the door for work.  A teased pony is thrown into the mix every once in a while, too.

I wanted to share with you a few amazing hair products and tools I’ve discovered that are perfect for creating quick and effortless straight hair.  See them below!

The concept of a hair straightening brush seems so simple, yet I had never used one before.  This tool by Irresistible Me works wonders, y’all!  The Jade Hair Straightening Brush easily glides through my hair while successfully tackling my stubborn waves.

The hair straightening brush comes packaged in a beautiful box with a magnetic closure and instruction booklet.  The first thing I noticed about the Jade (besides it’s beautiful color) is that it’s so lightweight.  It’s easy to hold and won’t break your wrists as you’re trying to straighten your hair.

My main concern with using a hair straightening brush was not wanting to burn my scalp.  I mean, ouch!  Irresistible Me thought of that when designing the Jade.  The tool bristles feature cooling tips so if you touch the brush to your scalp or hands while using it, you won’t get burned!

Using the brush is very simple once you get the hang of it.  I usually use the highest heat setting of 450 degrees.  I separate my hair into small handfuls and pull the handful away from my scalp.  I then move the Jade along my hair as if I’m using a normal brush.  Pro tip: like a normal hair straightener, go slow to ensure your hair actually straightens!

The results!   Straightening all of my hair took around 5 minutes total.

Pros

  • Heats up fast
  • Multiple heat settings
  • Cool tip bristles
  • Lightweight
  • Swivel cord
  • It actually works!

Cons

  • Buttons are positioned on the edge of the brush where I place my fingers to hold it. I have to be careful not to push any of the buttons that adjust the heat setting.

Design Essentials Coconut and Monoi Intense Shine Oil Mist

The Intense Shine Oil Mist provides truly intense moisture and shine for your brittle and thirsty hair.   Apply to damp or dry hair to create the healthy shine you want!

Design Essentials Dual Hydration Milk

This milk protein and marula oil product protects your hair from damage in the heat.  To use: work a small drop of the milk into damp hair then style as desired.

The Wet Brush

The Wet Brush is probably the most amazing brush I’ve ever used.  No exaggeration. The Wet Brush is made with Mongolian boar hair and Intelliflex bristles with Soft Tips that glide through your hair with ease.  Knots and tangles?  No problem.  The Wet Brush easily and painlessly untangles anything your hair can throw at it.  I swear it’s magic.  You just have to try it to believe it!
