When you live in the South, there’s a good chance you will spend a large part of your summer somewhere on a lake or a beach.  It’s just what we do.  My boyfriend’s family are notorious camp and lake bums, so naturally their bi-annual family reunion was located at DeGray Lake State Park.  Colton and I beat the heat on the water with our donut and swan floats.  See what I wore below!

When you’re at the lake, comfort is key.  A light off-the-shoulder top paired with distressed jean shorts can be a chic way to keep cool in the beginning of summer heat.  Add jeweled sandals, bright nail polish, and a hat to shield the harsh sun from your face and ears, and you’ve got an outfit made in summer paradise.  But don’t forget the bag!  A large, coated leather tote bag is a durable and classic way to carry all of your lake/beach essentials.
