Sweater & Shorts Outfit feat. European Famous Brands

This outfit may seem like an oxymoron upon first glance.  A sweater with shorts?  What??  But honestly this outfit is one of my favorites of the summer.  Sweaters and summer don’t usually mesh… unless you’re like me and you freeze even when it’s averaging in the 90’s all week.

Putting together a summer transitional outfit like this is easy.  All you need is a loose sweater, a light camisole, shorts, and some eye-catching shoes like these from European Famous Brands.  European Famous Brands is a Chicago based company bringing some of the latest trends in Euro shoes, scarves, and socks to the States.  I fell in love with these leather sneakers from their collection and just knew I had to add them to this outfit.  See how I styled them below!

Let’s first talk about these adorable shoes from European Famous Brands.  They possess a distinct versatility that is difficult to find in shoes.  On one hand, the delicate design cut into the beige leather makes the shoes a statement piece for any casual outfit.  And on the other, the soft, neutral colors the shoes are available in (beige, brown, and white) give them advanced subtly.  The cut design goes all the way through the leather, making them breathable so they’re easy to wear in warmer weather.  I simply can’t get enough of how comfy they are to wear.

The oversized sweater from Forever 21 casually falls off my left shoulder whenever I wear it, revealing the eyelash lace camisole layered underneath.  For summer wear, I like to layer lighter pieces like camisoles under heavier sweaters and jackets, knowing I’ll sweat when I’m outdoors and I’ll freeze as soon as I walk inside.  The sweater can be slipped on and off depending on how I feel.

  1. Darling outfit! Love the shoes! We are possibly moving to to NWA (Springdale/Fayetteville)… My biggest fear is that there is not a lot fashion there. Coming from Southern CA/San Francisco and now Tampa FL area I think it might be big change. 😉 I found your blog doing fashion info in the area. So glad that I found your blog.

    1. Hi Heidi! I hope you enjoy NWA if you do end up moving! I live in Hot Springs, located in the central part of the state. Trust me when I say NWA is A LOT more stylish than down here! But I don’t let that get in the way of my love for fashion. It’s nice to be the best dressed in the room, if you know what I mean 😉 Just bring your fabulous sense of style and don’t let anything bring it down! Two of my favorite boutiques are actually headquartered in Fayetteville,: Lauren James and RiffRaff. Check them out when you get the chance!

Good luck on your new adventure, wherever it may lead you!

      1. I’m so sorry I missed this post! A lot going on; we did move but to Montana!! I’m loving it and Bozeman has a style community probably because it is a college town. I’m loving wearing all my coats, boots and sweaters that never saw the light of day in Florida 😉 Thanks again for your sweet response and I’m so sorry that I didn’t see it until now. Heidi
