Out are the days of matte skin and a contour sharper than a steak knife. The “it” beauty routine now concentrates on obtaining (and maintaining) a soft, natural glow. Let’s get real here: no amount of highlight or shimmer powder will give you the classic glow that healthy skin can provide. Sorry, Champagne Pop.
To obtain that envious glow, you have to have healthy, glowing skin. It’s a no-brainer, right? What takes a little more thought is deciding which products will help you achieve your goal. And that’s why you’re here, ladies. Below are just a few of my favorite products I’ve found that brighten and correct my skin to give me an effortless glow.
The LumaPro-C by Hydropeptide is a skin brightening pigment corrector. It targets areas of your skin that have discolored by acne, age, sun damage, restless nights, etc. and brings them back brighter than ever.
Dark circles, age spots, and any kind of damage cause your skin to look older and darker than it should. I have the biggest, darkest under-eye circles you have ever seen. After using the LumaPro-C for about a week, I noticed the dark circles starting to retreat in surrender. They’re not completely gone yet, but they’re on their way!
Cleansing oil is a must in your skincare routine if you’re serious about achieving brighter skin. Cleaning oil is to be used after you remove your makeup but before you apply moisturizer. This Shea Butter Cleansing Oil by L’Occitane is a gentle way of removing makeup, dirt, and unhealthy oils that may have collected on your skin during the day. Removing and cleansing your skin of all rubbish ensures your skin will be able to properly restore itself overnight.
Using the Hydropeptide Pre-Treatment Toner in addition to the LumaPro-C may be a little excessive. But for those girls who like to be a bit extra in their beauty routine, it’s a useful add-on. Like the LumaPro-C, the Pre-treatment Toner works to even out your skin tone while brightening the dark or damaged areas. It also helps exfoliate the skin for deeper, more penetrating results.
And finally, we come to the Evian Brumisateur Facial Spray. I featured this spray last year as a summer skincare essential that keeps the skin hydrated during long days in the sun. To be honest, you’re paying for Evian water in a spray can. It’s literally one of the most boujie things I’ve ever seen. But oh boy does it work. A little spritz of this on my face after my makeup is complete will keep my skin glowing all day long. Evian doesn’t mess around!
The post is sponsored by Hydropeptide, but all opinions are my own!
