One of the main reasons I look forward to winter and the holiday season is having the excuse to drink hot chocolate out of cute snowman mugs any time I want. Yes, I can do that any season of the year, but it takes on a special, cozy feeling during the colder months.
I know this is totally outside of Chic Little Honey’s fashion comfort zone, but I wanted to share with y’all my super easy signature hazelnut hot chocolate recipe (if you can call it that!). It’s indulgent, divine, and perfect for cuddling up on a cold winter evening.
2 cups of Milk
2 tablespoons of hazelnut syrup
Chocolate powder (optional)
Whipped cream (optional)
Chocolate pot & frother (Mine is older from Williams-Sonoma)
Cute mug (Mine is older from Hallmark)
Measuring cup & spoon
- Measure 2 cups of milk in the measuring cup and heat in microwave until hot (I like mine super hot!)
Pour milk and measure 2 tablespoons of chocolate powder into the pot
- Pour hot chocolate into mug and add a dash or two of hazelnut syrup (I usually add 1.5 tablespoons)
- Top of marshmallows, whipped cream, and chocolate powder
