Madi Apparel: America's Most Impactful Intimates

MADI Apparel: America’s Most Impactful Intimates

This is one of the hardest blog posts I’ve ever sat down to write.

I want to introduce y’all to a wonderful company I recently discovered that has touched my heart.  The company is MADI Apparel and their mission is to help women in need.  When you purchase an intimate from MADI, a pair of underwear is donated to domestic violence shelters, disaster relief efforts, and hospital rape crisis centers across the country and the world.

That’s amazing, right?  When you buy one of MADI Apparel‘s cute, sustainable bras or panties, a woman somewhere receives a beautiful undergarment as well.  What’s so difficult to write about?

You see, I am a rape and domestic violence survivor.

I was raped and abused by a man I thought I loved.  He violated me in ways that, years later, still send shivers down my spine and bring tears to my eyes.  I can choose to be a victim.  I can choose not to talk about it.  I can choose to pretend like it never happened.

But instead of being a victim, I am choosing to be a survivor.

I want every woman in this world to know that it’s okay.

I want you to know you are strong.

You are loved.

You are sexy.

You are beautiful.

MADI Apparel’s mission is to help women who have undergone natural disasters, domestic violence and rape and make them feel beautiful and healthy again.  To make them feel human.  “But why panties?” you ask?  Because underwear is the most under-donated item in the United States.

MADI graciously sent me the beautiful Molly Luxe Lace Bralette to review for my amazing readers.  First, here’s what you need to know about their intimates collection.

  • MADI Apparel’s name was chosen by founder Hayley because Madi is a common woman’s name.  Hayley wants every woman who purchases intimates from MADI to “picture a womanwith a name, who matters – and know that her purchase of underwear will help a woman in need.”
  • The bras, panties, and sleepwear are made mostly of bamboo, making them long-lasting and sustainable.  They’re so soft!
  • Every MADI Apparel item is cut and sewn in Kansas City, Missouri.  No out-sourcing.  No cheap labor.

The Molly Luxe Lace Bralette is just darling.  It’s simply cut with two pieces of triangle lace connected by a satin elastic band.  The bralette fastens with a gold G-clasp and two sizing notches.  You can match the Molly with the Kaydee Wide Lace Brazilian panties for a completed, sultry look.

Every woman deserves the chance to feel beautiful and loved, no matter what her circumstances.  Trust me when I say that it’s so hard to feel that way after you’ve been raped and abused.  I know from experience.

MADI Apparel is striving to make that happen for women who feel like they’ve lost everything.  I encourage you to support MADI’s mission and impact a woman’s life.  Starting with a pair of panties.

  1. Wow. I do not even know what to say to you. I do know you are awesome for choosing to be a survivor. I also need to look into this company because anyone willing to help woman is A+ in my book. Thank you for introducing us to this and most importantly thank you for sharing your story. I am sure someone out there is reading this and needed some support.

  2. Not only is their intimate apparel absolutely stunning, but the cause they’re standing for is definitely something that should be supported. As someone who suffered through sexual abuse from a previous partner, it was actually hard for me to begin purchasing “sexy” lingerie again because I was constantly afraid of feeling sexy or even beautiful. I felt scarred in such a terrible way, but brands that are doing such incredible work like MADI are definitely brands I can stand behind. Thank you for not only sharing their work, but for sharing your story. God bless you, girl.

  3. I am so sorry that this happened to you. Having done counseling, which included women who had been abused, I am glad to see you deal with it as a survivor and not as a victim.

May you be blessed in your healing daily as you grow stronger.
