I can almost feel fall coming around the corner! Ok, maybe not right around the corner, but it’s getting close! Today, I’m highlighting one of my favorite, go-to fall outfits. Flare jeans never fail to be chic and versatile on-the-go. No matter if it’s a sweater, tank top and blazer, or tunic, you can’t go wrong with a classic flare. See the full outfit below!
Top: J.Crew | Jeans: American Eagle (on sale for under $20!)| Bag: Michael Kors | Watch: Daniel Wellington | Belt: Forever 21 (similar) | Shoes: Guess
Pairing a classic crewneck sweater with a modern cut flare jean is perfect for fall’s chilly weather. I’ve worn American Eagle jeans since I was in junior high school and I don’t think I’ll ever get over how amazing it feels to slip a new pair on for the first time. Like all jeans, anything can be worn with a pair of flares. The flare hem just adds a bit of chicness to the look!
Pro tip: if you’re short like me, order jeans in long or extra long to wear them with heels. I’m wearing size 00 in long so the hem will sweep the ground when I wear heels. Order an extra pair in regular to wear with flats!
American Eagle not really your thing? Check out these awesome flare jeans at 7 For All Mankind, Blank Denim, and J Brand.
If you’re looking for a light, simple sweater that’s perfect for layering, look no further than the J.Crew Tippi sweater. I have three! This color, Soft Peony, is an easy transition for summer to fall and winter to spring.
You look so cute in those jeans!!!!

Thank you! Before last year, I hadn’t worn flares since high school! They’re a great alternative to the ever popular skinny jean for fall.

I know, I’m short too! I’m 5’2 so the length of pants has always been an issue. My tailor is my bestie!

Ahhh you shop at AE too?! lol They’re the only place that makes true “short” jeans! I’m 4’11” so the struggle is totally real. I LOVE this post. I’ve been dying to try a pair of flared jeans but I think I’ve been unsure how to outfit them – I don’t think it has to be too complicated does it? Love the inspiration 🙂

I love AE jeans! No, it’s definitely not too complicated to wear them! Instead of the sweater I’m wearing in this post, I could have worn an untucked graphic tee and Adidas sneakers. Just wear what you normally would wear with skinny jeans and you’ll look great!
