Gone Country

Gone Country Outfit

When you have a boyfriend who lives in the country, you can guarantee some of his country attitude is going to rub off on you!  Comfort is the country way of life and I’ve put my own spin on plaid and boots in this outfit.  See the details below!

Top: Aeropostale (similar) | Bottom: Hollister (similar) | Boots: Minnetonka | Belt: Eddie Bauer (old…it was my dad’s!)

Let’s start from the bottom up with this outfit: the fringe boots.  I originally wanted the Minnetonka 5-layer fringe boots because I envisioned my Summer 2016 style being a mix of boho chic and festival style.  Didn’t happen.  After searching for an outfit to wear these fabulous boots with all summer, I went from boho to the gone country girl vibe.  I tucked a plaid button up into short-shorts and tied it off with an old leather belt that once belonged to my dad.

You’ll notice that a bag is conspicuously missing from these outfit photos.  That would be because I forgot the bag intended for the outfit at my house.  Hey, I’m only human.  For an easy-going outfit like this, I definitely wouldn’t go for a large, structured bag.  Instead, opt for this Sole Society fringe clutch.  If you absolutely need something a bit larger, go simple with this Sole Society tote bag.
