Colton and I met a little over a year ago at a Halloween bonfire party. He was cute, awkward, funny, ambitious, intelligent, and had this incredible smile that outshone the fire. Our first date the following week included a BBQ lunch, a scary movie (Ouija), watching the sunset by the Arkansas River, and a lot of awkwardness. But I saw through the shyness and found my future husband. We’re total opposites; he’s a country boy and I’m a city girl. Our tastes are different in almost everything from where we want to live, to the music we listen to, to our hobbies. However, we don’t let that get in the way of our relationship.
We settled on a restaurant in Little Rock called 1620 Savoy. We basically had the place to ourselves for the evening! Colton chose the crispy duck while I had the grilled chicken. For dessert, we had a chocolate Jamaican rum soufflé and champagne on the house. It was a perfect evening. I can’t wait for all the years to come.
