Inspired by an Illustration

As I’ve worked my way through the world of style and fashion, I’ve learned to glean inspiration from just about anywhere.  For this particular outfit, I drew from an illustration in one of my newest favorite books, Paris Street Style: A Guide to Effortless Chic by Isabelle Thomas and Frederique Veysset.  Creating a look from a picture or illustration is simple…just take pieces from your own wardrobe and imitate what you see.  For example, in this illustration I see these pieces: printed pants, cuffed; blazer, cuffed; white shirt; minimal heels; bright scarf, looped; bright belt; matching scarf; eclectic accessories.

Then, you decide which details you want to keep in your new look and which you’ll just add your own spin to.  After all decisions have been made, voila! your perfect outfit awaits.
