Tea Party

Gossip Girl Inspired: Tea Party

This is the fourth installment in the Gossip Girl Inspired series.  Check out the first, second, and third posts! Enjoy!

Tea PartyBlair Waldorf never underestimated the power of a little black dress. In “Save the Last Chance” season 6, episode 7, Blair attempts to prove herself to her mother and to the rest of the UES that she is an influential woman at the opening of her pop-up shop, B by Waldorf. She chooses a dark black and green plaid dress, red plaid heels, and one of her signature headbands to make her fashion design debut.

Blair is wearing: Alexander McQueen dress, Christian Louboutin shoes, Louis Vuitton necklace

I took a leaf out of Blair’s fashion book and donned my favorite Audrey Hepburn-esque little black dress for a tea party reminiscent of Blair’s in Paris in “Belles du Jour”…sans la Tour Eiffel.  A tea party has been on my summer 2015 bucket list and I finally decked out my back patio with fresh flowers, macarons, chocolates, tea, and ginger ale on my mother’s china and grandmother’s crystal.  A beaded bow headband and several layered silver necklaces completed my look for a backyard tea party with my handsome boyfriend…who begrudgingly indulged me.  He’s currently watching the entire Gossip Girl series with me so he can understand my references and obsession with the show. So far, he’s guessed that every character on the show is the infamous Gossip Girl. I can’t wait to see his reaction when he finds out who it is!
