I’m so happy to announce a new post series I’ve been working on for weeks… (drum roll please): A series of six outfits inspired by the gorgeous fashion of Gossip Girl! Every Monday I will share an outfit that I fell deeply in love with in the series and recreated with (some new, some old) pieces from my wardrobe. A few are classic and a few forced me to step out of my personal style comfort zone, but I love all of them.
The first outfit of the series is inspired by Serena in “Belles du Jour”, season 4, episode 1, as she shops her heart out in Paris. Kate Moss and Sienna Miller were the muses the costume department used to create Serena’s style throughout the show. It reflected her laid-back, carefree, and sometimes rebellious nature. She’s often found in loose layers, jeans, and wedges during the day, then transitions into gorgeous silhouetted dresses and stilettos for formal events.
Serena is wearing: Wide leg Suno pants, Suzan Galani necklace, Stella McCartney top, Dries Van Noten “Rafia Oxford Pump” shoes, Fendi “Peekaboo” bag
My version served as the perfect coffee-date-in-the-middle-of-a-Southern-summer outfit. I picked up the wide-leg, pleated pants at a new boutique in town and they are wonderful and airy when trying to survive the Southern humidity. My boyfriend and I made our way to Mylo Coffee Co., my new favorite coffee shop in the middle of the Heights of Little Rock, for a date before dinner out.
I am wearing: Day & Night pants, Faded Glory tank, Messeca heels, Charming Charlie clutch & beaded bracelet, Romancing the Stone hat, earrings & cocktail ring from local boutique Pink Avenue, Kendra Scott Hayden necklace & Arden drusy bracelet, gold bar bracelet from TJ Maxx, turquoise stone bracelet made my aunt
